    As always, an entertaining and intelligent selection and linking conversation.

    I particularly enjoyed “Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend” for the sparkling concentration of rhymes in the fourth lines along with staccato, cynical delivery after the soupy first three lines: “…on your humble flat / Or help-you-at the aut-o-mat”, “…thinks you’re awful nice / But get-that-ice or else-no-dice”. Wonderful.
